Direct My Steps, part 3

We arrived in Malta around 1:00 AM on Monday morning. It was not cold, but it was dark and the cool, air-conditioned house felt amazing. We each had our own rooms, but they were connected, and Lizbelle's had a sweet balcony. Pictures of that in another post.
The beautiful little squirrel and bed that met me upon arriving in Malta. What a wonderful place to spend a week!
And the view out my window the next morning.
Day 1: Doug took us to visit Sammy, who is an olive master. We watched him grind/press olives for oil. Sadly, this is the only picture I took of the olives.
Daddles talking about the different kinds of olives.
Maltese "Pearls." Apparently I forgot to take a picture of the 2000 year-old olive tree, found in an archaeological dig-site, that Sammy had.

 A view of the countryside.

Classic Car Museum with Doug, who was excited to show us his cars. This was also day 1.

Dick VanDyke's car.
State license plates. I thought this odd to find in a Maltese car museum.

"Direct my steps by Your word." Part Two

More pictures from London. We managed to have over an hour to just spend in London, buying souvenirs and sweaters, and eating at a lovely little cafe across from the museum.
Sipping my delicious cappuccino. Lizbelle got tea, of course.
 My cappuccino.
Lizbelle brought along a wonderful little double-sided journal. This is me trying to remember every detail.
Belle in her new London sweatshirt.
 Our faces on Downing Street.

Me in a tall telephone booth.
Then Lizbelle wanted to snooze in the park on top of all our luggage.
Our feet on the tube tracks.
Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. Not that long, actually.
 Lunch in Heathrow Terminal 4

My beautiful travelling companion.

"Direct my steps by Your word" Part One

This is a collection of my Malta-trip pictures. I took the album off facebook, so this is for anyone who wishes they had seen them and for those who want to see them again. Because I have a sort-of expensive camera, I didn't want to hand it off to just anyone, so there are a lot of pictures of "us" on this trip, but they're really pictures of our feet. Enjoy!

Lizbelle and I had a long layover in Seattle on our way. This is us reading Terry Pratchett while waiting.
We found a pretty awesome little Chinese place in the airport. The woman makes all the food from scratch right there in the airport.
 Our feet on English soil!
 THE BRITISH MUSEUM!
Me "touching" the colossal winged, man-headed bull (I did touch it, but then pulled my finger away a little for the picture, because Lizbelle was trying to keep me from getting into trouble.)

Belle in front of the (replica) Balawat Gates.
 BEARD.
We found the black obelisk! The. Freaking. Black. Obelisk!

 Rawr.

 BIG story, little artifact.

 It's my job to censor.

Admiring the Elgin Marbles.
 Staring.

We were attempting selfies with my camera in the elevator. Wild hair, tired eyes, but still super excited about being IN THE BRITISH MUSEUM!
"Playing" chess with the Lewis chessboard.

 Tristram and Isolde ivory caskets
 Lizbelle is a chi-rho.
We found a nice, trustworthy couple (well, we just got tired of not having a good picture of us) to take a picture of us in front of the museum.
